9.11.26 GOD CAN USE YOU
“The LORD turned to him and said, ‘Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Have I not sent you?’” — Judges 6:14
Gideon was hiding in a winepress, afraid and insecure, wondering where God was in the middle of Israel’s oppression. Yet when God showed up, He called Gideon a “mighty warrior.” Gideon didn’t feel like a warrior. He felt weak, insignificant, and unqualified. Sound familiar?
Sometimes we look at what God is asking us to do and think, “God, you’ve got the wrong person. I don’t know enough. I don’t have enough time. I’m not strong enough. Surely somebody else could do this better.” But God’s work has never depended on our strength. It depends on His power and our participation—His ability and our availability.
God told Gideon, “Have I not sent you?” What God said to Gideon is this: “Instead of complaining about it in the winepress, how about you be the person I’ve created you to be, called you to be, and sent you to be.”
And the same God who sent Gideon has sent us. Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21 You may not be able to change the whole world, but you can change your world. You can encourage someone, pray for a coworker, serve in your church, love your neighbor, show kindness to a stranger, or point someone toward Jesus.
You don’t have to be extraordinary. You just have to be available. Today, remember: God is with you. God can use you, and God has sent you. Don’t miss the calling on your life like Gideon did. Let God use you every day for His purposes!

Marriage Life Group successfully kicked off their first session in Williamsport. Both Locations have completed Week 1. There are 5 sessions remaining. Great job investing in your marriages which will make our church & communities stronger.
Last Friday, we moved Elementary Extreme back upstairs in Williamsport. We had some minor flooding so this moved this project up on the to do list. We had a dozen Champions come in to help make this happen. Thank you! We still have some Phases to finish in our KidLand Renovations that we need your help with, and we hope to work on this fall. This is just a small sampling of where our tithes to Jesus through this church are invested to reach this growing generation.
Over 60 Champions joined us at Lil’ Half Pint for our Champions Night of free mini golf & ice cream. This was an opportunity to simply bless you & make space for some connection & fun as a church family. Noah Williams is the new 2026 overall winner for the best mini golf game with a score of 38.
Our Parking Lot in Williamsport will be resealed at the end of the week before our Sunday celebration. We thank God for these improvements to help maintain our properties. Thank you to those that faithfully tithe to Jesus through this church.
This week, we celebrate the 23rd birthday of Liberty Church! What an incredible opportunity to stop and simply say, “Thank You, Jesus!” For 23 years, God has been faithful. Through every season, every challenge, every victory, and every step of faith—He has been with us. And when we look back, we don’t just see buildings, celebrations, or events. We see people. Lives changed. Families strengthened. Children growing up knowing Jesus. People embracing God’s grace and experiencing the faith, hope, & love of Jesus. This is the starting point of walking in our purpose & potential that God has for each one of us. In fact, we celebrate 2,490 precious people who have believed on Jesus through this church. We are so thankful for every person who has prayed, given, served, sacrificed, believed, and helped carry the vision of Liberty through the years. We love and appreciate you! But as grateful as we are for where we’ve been, we believe God is not finished yet! So we celebrate 23 years with grateful hearts, great faith, and positive expectations for what’s ahead. Happy Birthday, Liberty! Here’s to the faithfulness of God—and to the best still being ahead! 💚 “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” — Psalm 126:3
NEEDS
YOU ARE NEEDED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Every Sunday, more than 100 people walk onto each of our properties to worship, connect, and encounter Jesus—and YOU can help make this experience better! We call our volunteers Champions because they don't just fill a spot—they take ownership, serve people, and make a difference. And right now, every area needs more Champions! There’s a place for YOU—whether it’s waving & welcoming people from the parking lot, opening doors & greeting guests, helping kids grow in their faith in KidLand, serving coffee & snacks, managing The Shop, helping with media & technology, capturing moments through photography, or serving behind the scenes. You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to be willing & available. Your smile matters. Your gifts matter. Your willingness matters. And sometimes something as simple as opening a door, making a cup of coffee, or welcoming a child can help create a moment that changes someone’s life. Don’t just come to church—BE the Church. Step out. Take ownership. Find your place. You belong here. Become a Champion and make a difference! 💚 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” — 1 Peter 4:10
We have 2 Spanish-speaking men attending at Liberty Location that would like some help with their English on Sunday morning. They work full time but would be available on nights & weekends to connect to practice as well. Does anyone have any connections or Spanish skills to help them? Please email office@mylibertychurch.com to respond to this need to make a difference.
We have some donated resources that need to be picked up like boxes of drop ceiling tiles in Sayre, Painted Post, & Elmira. If you will be heading these directions and can help procure these resources, please email kay@mylibertychurch.com
Help Stock Our Kidz Shop! 🎉Our Elementary Extreme class (Grades K–5) has its very own Kidz Shop. Think Chuck E. Cheese-style—kids earn Kid Kash for attending, participating, and engaging in class, then get to use it to “buy” fun prizes! Here’s a simple way you can make a difference in the lives of our kids: help us keep the Kidz Shop stocked by donating fun, NEW prizes appropriate for elementary-aged children. Donations can be anything from small prizes to larger, extra-special items such as LEGO sets, Nerf toys, games, craft kits, sports items, or seasonal activities. Please note: We’re looking for new items rather than previously loved/yard-sale items. 😊 Have a question about what would be appropriate or have something you’d like to drop off? Email dawn@mylibertychurch.com. Thank you for helping us make church fun, memorable, and meaningful for our Liberty Kids as they grow in their faith.
You can start bringing in candy & treats for Trick or Treat any time as we start collecting our supply to give away & bless families coming through our doors & in our community. We need about 20,000 pieces of candy. This is a lot, but it happens one bag of treats at a time.
